Stories We Could Tell is a documentary movie about the california-soul-rock band Mother Hips. It is a tribute to the glory and genius of this long-lived, long-loved rock band as well as a study of the harsh realities and vagaries of life in the business of rock. The movie weaves performances from the band's 10th annual X-mas show at the Great American Music Hall in SF, CA with stories told by the band, their friends and families, and a wide variety of fans who have either worked for the band, shared gigs with them, or simply enjoyed their music over the course of their twelve year career to chronicle the fascinating, uplifting, and sometimes tragic journey of this amazing band.
